Background
The parabens are the most widely used preservatives in food, drugs, and cosmetics. The paraben mix is used in commercial patch-test series to detect contact allergy this group of closely related preservatives. These allergens include Benzylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Methylparaben, and Propylparaben.
