Lymfangitis (lymphangitis)
Streptococcus pyogenes, groep A streptokokken, soms S. aureus, of andere bacteriën zoals Pseudomonas, Aeromonas hydrophila (bij verontreiniging door oppervlaktewater), Streptococcus pneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida (na honden- en kattenbeten), of Wucheria bancrofti (tropen).

Milde vormen zonder ernstige systemische ziekteverschijnselen: orale antibiotica:
R/ flucloxacilline 3 dd 1000 mg.
R/ amoxicilline / clavulaanzuur 3 dd 625 mg.
R/ clindamycine 3 dd 600 mg.
R/ cefalexine 4 dd 500 mg.

Ernstige vormen met systemische ziekteverschijnselen: intraveneuze antibiotica:
R/ flucloxacilline 4 dd 1000 mg iv.
R/ amoxicilline / clavulaanzuur 3 dd 1000/200 mg iv.
R/ clindamycine 4 dd 300-600 mg iv.
R/ cefuroxim 3 dd 750 mg im of iv.
R/ ceftriaxon 1 dd 1-2 g iv.
R/ cefazolin 2 dd 1 g iv.
