Background
Triamcinolone acetonide is a high-potency topical and systemic corticosteroid. It has been classified as group B by Coopman et al. According the A-D grouping, patch-test reactions occur 6-7 times more frequently within well-defined groups of structurally related chemicals than between corticosteroids of different groups.
