Background
Lavender absolute is a fragrance derived from flowers of Lavandula officinalis - a a flower in the region of the mediterranean. It is a volatile oil used in various perfumes. Lavender oil contains geraniol, linalool and linalyl acetate and is thought to be phototoxic.
