Background
Dexamethasone-21-phosphate is a corticosteroid used in eye, ear and systemic preparations. It is classified as group C by Coopman et al. According the A-D grouping, patch-test reactions occur 6-7 times more frequently within well-defined groups of structurally related chemicals than between corticosteroids of different groups.
