a-Methylene-g-butyrolactone

Formula CAS
C5H6O 547-65-9

Background
a-Methylene-g-butyrolactone (Tulipalin A) is released from a glucoside precursor known as tuliposide A. It is the allergen in the Liliaceae and Alstroemeriaceae family of plants.
